Module#3 Our Brains on Media
This very positive film starts with a very nice and active violin music. At the beginning of the film our limbic brain reacts. Then our reptilian brain starts reacting as we may start asking the following questions:
1. What will the cat do then?
2. Where did the cat go? And so other questions.
During this film our neocortex brain doesn't react.

MODULE#2
My Personal Media Inventory
1. Books. Of course, I often read, as I think the more you read, the more educated you become. I try to read different kinds of books (interesting:) ). The book I am currently reading is "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy and I can say I am really enjoying it. While reading this book, you can't relax as very unexpected things happen to heroes. It is written so realistically that you feel as if everything is happening in real life.
2. Newspapers/Magazines. Mostly I read magazines. I often read some local magazine "YES, BOOM,etc.". In the above mentioned magazines I can find information about some things I am really interested in ( actors/actresses, musicians, fashion, modern cars,etc.).
3. Music. I don't play any musical instrument but I like listening to music. I like to listen to Pop music, rock, classical music (any kind of nice music). I listen to music by radio and by mp3. The musician I am currently listening to is Yanni.
4. Television. I watch television whenever I have free time. I like watching funny TV programms and sport events. By watching this kinds of programms I can really relax.
5. Video Games. I play video games. I play football, basketball, chess,etc., because I like sport very much. My favorite video game I experience right now is "FIFA 09".
6.Computers. I spend quite much time on my computer. I play, write some letters to my friends,I study the programm "Photoshop".
7. I spend much time on the internet. I search for some information, I take from some special sites different kinds of music, films, games,etc.
My media preferences are:

Media and Me
1. I am Arshak Karapetyan. I am 14. I was born in 1994. I live in Yerevan. I study in "Armenian National Lyceum after Anania Shirakatsy" in 9th grade. I like to study Geography, English and History.
I would like to study in different American and European schools where I could have a chance to improve my knowledge in different spheres. Also I would have a chance to find new friends and we could exchange ideas, discuss the culture and mentality of our countries.
I am an optimistic person. I have a good sense of humour and I like people with great sense of humour. I am friendly and extrovert. I am quite sociable but sometimes I can be a bit shy. I can get on well with different people. I am a team worker. I think that each person can be a leader in a field that he is well informed. I am a leader in some special fields. I can make people listen to me and understand me whenever I need it.
I am an aimful person. If I have an aim I can do everything in my power to reach my aim.
I like helping people whenever they need my help.
I like spending my free time with my friends and with my family. We often go to the cinema, to the theatre, to the cafe,to the skating-rink,etc.
I really know what I want and I am ready to work very hard to reach all my aims. Even if I don't succeed in something I never lose my hope. I am always ready to start everything again.
2.I really like music and I enjoy listening to music. When I listen to music I really get lots of positive energy. I can't imagine a day without music. My favorite musician is Yanni. I greatly appreciate his talent. Whenever I am in a bad mood I listen to his music and forget about all my problems.
3. I am concerned about the traffic in my home town. Many people drive in a wrong way and I think it is dangerous both for themselves and for other people. Besides, there are lots of traffic jams because of bad driving. If I had a chance I would really do everything in my power to change this situation.
4. First, we all shall have a great chance to improve our language skills. We could tell each other about our interests and our culture. It is very useful to know how people live in other countries. By communication we shall be able to find solutions to different problems. Also I shall have a chance to find lots of new friends.
